In this equation, we already know that p = 7 and q = 4.

Plugging in 7 for p:

#(7 + 7) / 7 = (a / b)#

#2 = (a/b)#

Plugging in 4 for q.

a = 4 + 4

a = 8

Plugging in 8 for a

#2 = 8/b#

2b = 8

b = 4

So, b = 4.
