Genotype of smooth seeded offspring will be rr.


Plants with genotype Rr are heterozygous: they would express dominant character (in this case rough seeds). A crossing would yield progeny in 3:1 ratio, i.e. only 25% of the progeny (rr) will bear smooth seeds.
