Bubbling can be the indication for both chemical or physical change.

Explanation:

  • When substances are put in the same container like, #CaCO_3# and #HCl#. A reaction occurs and bubbles escape the container (effervescence). These bubbles are actually gas fumes, and this shows that a new gaseous product is formed.
    Here, bubbling indicates our chemical reaction.
  • On the other hand, when the water is boiled, bubbles are also produced and water vapors escape from the container. Here you can see it is an example of physical change.
