Is there a way to make it possible for answerers to edit questions *after* they have been answered? Usually it's just about fixing units or typos, but once a question has been answered it's no longer possible to fix the question.

No.

Explanation:

Regular contributors cannot edit questions after they have been answered because, as you would imagine, that would require some level of supervision.

Plus, there's no point in giving people the ability to edit questions they themselves answered because that can easily be done before posting the answer.

So your best approach here will to edit a question before you post an answer. Once you post that answer, you can no longer make changes in the wording of the question itself.

Now, you will definitely find a lot of questions that need editing, that is a given considering the large volume of questions posted and answered on Socratic.

In special cases in which you come across an answered question that really, really needs editing, you can @mention one of the mods. We can edit the wording of the question after it has been answered.
