Width $17$ meters and the width is $40$ meters.

Let the width be $x$ . Then the length is $2x + 6$ .

We know $P = 2w + 2l$ .

$x + 2x + 6 + x + 2x + 6 = 114$

$6x + 12 = 114$

$6(x+ 2) = 114$

$x+ 2 = 19$

$x= 17$

Because $W = 2x + 6$ , $W = 2(17 + 6) = 40$ .
