Scientist J.J.Thomson discovered electrons #(e^-)#.

In the Cathode ray tube, a beam of cathode rays emitted from the Cathode. The ray was illuminating at a certain pressure. The cathode rays contained very small negatively charged subatomic particles called electrons #(e^-). #
