Cilliate is an organism, usually a protozoan with one or more cilia.
They are characterized by the possession of cilia (Latin cilium, eyelash) -- tiny hairs covering all or part of their bodies, which are used for locomotion and for creating currents which bring food particles to their mouths

Typical examples include Paramecia, Coleps and Vorticella.
