What are some ways humans are involved in both the problem and the possible solutions to biodiversity?
Humans can be both detractors and benefactors of biodiversity.
Humans are most often cited as the cause of decreasing biodiversity through resource over-exploitation.
They can also be forces for improving biodiversity through conservation efforts, breeding programs and better resource usage.
Of course, a continuing problem is the continuing GROWTH of the human population. We may not be AT a limit yet (or, maybe we are?), but at SOME point it should be apparent that every species (including humans) cannot have unrestrained growth or life ad infinitum - something has to give way!
