What are the characteristics of an endothermic reaction?
In an endothermic reaction, heat energy is used up in the reaction. Thus after the reaction temperature decreases.
This is because the energy used for breaking the bonds is more than the energy released during the reaction.
Endothermic reactions are those reaction which requires heat to occur .
Some reactions do occur only at some minimum temperature which is above room temperature .
The temperature lowers down after the reaction , this change is usually detected by clinical thermometer in some lab experiments .
This reaction takes energy from the surroundings , the heat can be in form of heat or light or may be whatever!
