Any distance units you wish, as long as it gives nice numbers generally between 1 and 100. Here are a few you can choose from:

  • Meters, #"m"#; just look at your average meter stick.
  • Feet, #"ft"#, everyday use in American life. Look at any ruler.
  • Centimeters, #"cm"#, such as on many rulers.

We can also get fancy, and go into chemical measurements:

  • Angstroms, #Å#, mainly for atomic radii. #10^(-10)# #"m"#.
  • Picometers, #"pm"#, sometimes used for atomic radii. #10^(-12)# #"m"#.
