# What are three examples of proper units you could use to measure perimeter?

Any distance units you wish, as long as it gives nice numbers generally between 1 and 100. Here are a few you can choose from:

• Meters, $\text{m}$; just look at your average meter stick.
• Feet, $\text{ft}$, everyday use in American life. Look at any ruler.
• Centimeters, $\text{cm}$, such as on many rulers.

We can also get fancy, and go into chemical measurements:

• Angstroms, Å, mainly for atomic radii. ${10}^{- 10}$ $\text{m}$.
• Picometers, $\text{pm}$, sometimes used for atomic radii. ${10}^{- 12}$ $\text{m}$.
