Fossils provide us with loads of information from the past and many different animal origins.
Explanation:
For example, an Archaeopteryx fossil showed that this dinosaur had feathers making scientists believe that birds derived and evolved from the Archaeopteryx. The fossils of let's say a woolly mammoth show basically the same bone structure as today's elephant showing that the elephant evolved from the woolly mammoth!
