What does declination mean?

It is a term used to locate objects in celestial sphere.

Explanation:

In equatorial co ordinate system right ascension and declination is used to represent position of h evenly objects. In simple terms it is equivalent to Latitude in geography.
Zero at equator ..North of equator up to north pole it is 90 degree.Same way in south hemisphere..Here declination is taken as Minus.enter image source here
