Annual shift of the equinoctial position in sky is measurable today and provide a direct evidence for the precession of Earth.

Explanation:

Historically Earth's precession is supposed to have been discovered by Hipparchus noting the change in the position of the star spica relative to the equinox position. His measurements differed from the equinoctial position measured and recorded by Timocharis and Aristillus approximately 150-200 years by about #2^o#.

There are other historic evidences such as the misalignment of western astrological zodiac signs with the real astronomical zodiac signs etc.
