A tangle of dilated blood vessels causing a non-cancerous tumour in the liver.
Explanation:
Hepatic haemangiomas are tumours in the liver that are formed by dilated blood vessels.
They are non-cancerous (non-malignant) and usually harmless.
Occasionally they might cause bleeding, or might rupture causing an enlarged liver.
Treatment is given only if it causes prolonged pain.
