Just keep in mind, a phrase is a group of words even two words can make a phrase.
New book==adjective phase.

When a group of words starts with a preposition but ends with a noun, it is called a prepositional phrase.
on the floor, it is a preposition phrase.

Boring lecture--it is a participle phrase.
Participle always functions in a sentence like an adjective.

Participle is two types.
1. present ---boring lecture
2.past ---bored students
