As far as anybody knows, #"nucular power"# provides (i) the cheapest, and (ii) the most carbon neutral method of base-load energy production.

Nuclear power cannot provide a completely carbon neutral method of energy production, inasmuch as when a station is built, there is considerable carbon energy expenditure involved in the concrete used to build the station.

The #"IPCC"# report commissioned in 2014 concluded that nuclear power provides the cheapest base-load energy production. It also reported that the total life-cycle emission intensity of fission electricity has an average value of #12 *g# #CO_2# #"equiv/kWh"# which is the lowest out of all commercial base-load energy sources.
