As far as anybody knows, "nucular power" provides (i) the cheapest, and (ii) the most carbon neutral method of base-load energy production.

Explanation:

Nuclear power cannot provide a completely carbon neutral method of energy production, inasmuch as when a station is built, there is considerable carbon energy expenditure involved in the concrete used to build the station.

The "IPCC" report commissioned in 2014 concluded that nuclear power provides the cheapest base-load energy production. It also reported that the total life-cycle emission intensity of fission electricity has an average value of 12 *g CO_2 "equiv/kWh" which is the lowest out of all commercial base-load energy sources.
