Astroparticle physics is the study of particles originated in astronomical phenomena.

Explanation:

Physicists believes that at the beginning of the universe the physical laws were simpler than today, more symmetric with few particles and unified forces.

What was the main difference from the beginning of the universe and now? It is the energy density. Then to recreate and study these conditions we have to use particles with high energy. One method is to use the particle accelerators. But no matter how good are our accelerators, the energy is very small compared to the beginning of the universe.

Another way to study high energy physics is to study the particles emitted from stars, supernova, blackholes and other big astronomical objects.
Those particles are very energetic and can have some of the properties that we search for our theories.
