What is Mayer's formula ?

The difference between the specific heat of a gas at constant pressure(#c_p#) and its specific heat at constant(#c_v#) volume is equal to the universal gas constant(R) divided by the molecular weight(M) of the gas. i.e. #c_p-c_v=R/M#.This relation is known
as Mayer's formula
