Non renewable resources are natural resources that cannot be readily replaced naturally at a level equal to its consumption.

Explanation:

They cannot be produced grown or generated on a scale in which they are used because their formation takes billions of years.
Minerals, ores, fossil fuels and ground water are considered as non renewable resources.

At present, the main energy source used by humans is non renewable fossil fuels. Since the early 19h century, petroleum and other fossil fuels have remained in continuous demand. This continued use of fossil fuels at an alarming rate is believed to the increase global warming and cause more severe climate change.
