What is solubility?

The mass of solute that will saturate 100g of solvent at a given temperature.


Another definition (from the *Oxford Students' Science Dictionary is:

'the solubility of a solute in water, at a particular temperature, is the maximum amount that will dissolve in a given volume of water at that temperature. The units are g/100g of water

So basically, solubility changes with temperature. An increase in temperature causes an increase in solubility.
