What is the chemical formula of sulphuric acid?

The sulphur has an oxidation number of 6. Two of the oxygens are attached by a double bond, the others by a single bond -- they hold on to the hydrogens.
While dissolving, the H's go into solution and the rest form the sulphate #SO_4^(2-)# -ion
