What is the difference between divisor, dividend, nominator, and denominator?

A numerator is a dividend.

A denominator is a divisor.


There are two common ways to express a division operation.



These two statements are equivalent. In both cases, #a# is the numerator (or dividend) and #b# is the denominator (or divisor).
