Niche can mean two different things in regards to ecology.

Explanation:

You can see the word "niche" as the role an organism has in an ecosystem.

You can also see the word "niche" as the area where an organism inhabits.

Considering these two, a macaw's role would be dispersing seeds or fruits and spreading them around. A macaw's habitat would be seen in Mexico, Central America, and parts of South America where an abundance of forests and rainforests exist.
