Explanation:

In order to figure out slope, we should at least know that slope is (rise)/(run). This means the distance between the y-values over the distance between the x-values on the bottom.

The equation to find slope also looks like.... (y2-y1)/(x2-x1). Or the second y value minus the first y-value all over the second x-value over the first x value.

It should then look something like...

(3-(-1))/(6-4) or 4/2 which equals 2.
