Very similar to Charles Darwin, but he didn't think it applied to humans.

Being a deeply religious person, Wallace never believed that humans were also subject to evolution. He believed that humans held a special place in "creation" and were unchanging or subject to evolutionary forces. On most other aspects of evolution, Wallace was very close to Darwin in his thinking, In fact, biologist now a days usually indicated that evolution was developed by both Darwin and Wallace, though Wallace is usually forgotten!
