What lifesaving skills did Native Americans teach the Pilgrims?
Farming, hunting and gathering, and techniques and tips for survival.
When the Pilgrims arrived in North America, they knew almost nothing about surviving in this new land, which was so different from their previous British way of life. The Native Americans helped the Pilgrims learn to hunt, teaching them trapping techniques and animal movement patterns. The Native Americans also showed the Pilgrims how to gather various food items, showing them which foods were dangerous and which ones were edible.
