What pathogeon causes malaria?

It is caused by protozoan parasites. Malaria parasites are transmitted by female Anopheles mosquitoes. It depends on malaria you want to know the full name of the pathogen, but there is a chart on Wikipedia that actually is pretty good. But for the plain word malaria, it is just Plasmodium.

Malaria is caused by a pathogen known as Plasmodium ,which belongs to the phylum Apicomplexa,they bear an apical complex which helps in the interaction with glycophorin receptor of #RBCs# which is important to start Erythrocytic cycle.

According to the types of malaria,pathogenic species are,

1 .QUARTAN MALARIA : Plasmodium malariae

2 .TERTIAN MALARIA : BENIGN Plasmodium vivax Plasmodium ovale

MALIGNANT Plasmodium

3 .QUOTIDIAN MALARIA Plasmodium knowlesi
