# What phase of matter would you expect to find water in at room temperature?

May 19, 2017

The boiling/condensing point of water is ${100}^{\circ}$C
The melting/freezing point of water is ${0}^{\circ}$C
Room temperature typically ranges between ${19}^{\circ}$C and ${24}^{\circ}$C (I personally like the cold end of that range) so this lies in between the boiling and melting points so it's not gas, and it's not solid which means it's liquid!
