In mitosis , there is separation of chromatids during anaphase. In meiosis there are anaphase I and anaphase II. In anaphase I there is separation of homologous chromosomes, in anaphase II, chromatids will separate.

Explanation:

At the end of meiosis I, chromosome numbers are halved by movement of two homologous chromosomes to opposite poles.

Meiosis II is similar to mitotic division. The sister chromatids are separated to move to opposite poles.
