He fought for the Korea War and for the Fair Deal, a continuation of FDR's New Deal

Harry Truman was FDR's Vice President and he started his presidency by nuking Japan. He got the USA in the Cold War thus continuing FDR interventionist policies, he approved of NATO, the Marshall Plan and the escalation in Korea.

The Fair Deal was a means to perpetuate the pro-government transformation of the Roosevelt administration. He had to renouce running for reelection in 1952 because he was too unpopular due to the war in Korea.
