When do chromosomes duplicate for meiosis?

the cell cycle for meiosis is made of interphase, meiosisI, and meiosis II. Interphase is the preparatory sage where chromosomes duplicate with all the other cell organelles.


This interphase is divided into three sub-stages being G1, S, and G2.
S is the abbreviation of synthesis where a new amount of DNA is synthesized and hence it is duplicated.
