In more than one place actually, but the most common ones that spring to mind are
- In the nose - they perform rhythmic sweeping movements to trap and keep small dust particles, smoke particles and other germs out.
- In the small intestine - The increase the surface area for absorption of food to take place and also assist with the absorption of fat into the lymphatic system via lacteals.
