There are two main types of nucleic acids i.e #DNA# and #RNA#. DNA is mainly found in the nucleus or nucleoid and RNA is mainly found in the cytoplasm.

Explanation:

  • RNA or ribonucleic acid is synthesized in the nucleus and is

found mainly in cytoplasm.

  • DNA or deoxyrionucleic acid is found mainly in nucleus in case

of eukaryotes. Moreover, humans and some other complex

organisms also possess DNA in their mitochondria.

While in case of prokaryotes, it is present in nucleoid.
