Where in the human body is the pituitary gland located?

Clearly not in the brain part,below the Hypothalamus,the pituitary is located in the CELLATURSICA cavity made of SPHENOID bone...

Pituitary gland is held below the hypothalamus by means of short stalk (made of neural tissue) called infundibulum. And hypothalamus is a part of fore brain.


So we can say that it's located in the ventral side of forebrain in human, contained within a shallow depression of sphenoid bone known as sella turcica.


Moreover, it's about #0.5gm# in adults. And it's has three lobes.
