On the right hand side of the periodic table, you can see some elements colored in brown. These are the metalloids: B, Si, Ge, As, Sb, Te, and Po. This is true for any periodic table, not just this one with these colors. Some periodic tables have a thick line in this area, and all elements touching this line are metalloids. Metalloids have properties of both metals and nonmetals, so they are between the metals and nonmetals on the periodic table.
