Why can we not see stars in other galaxies?

There will be billions of stars in one galaxy.Our eye do not have resoling power to separate stars in the far away galaxy.


Only very huge telescopes like 200 inch in mount wilson can resolve the stars in a galaxy..Galaxy may be one or two degree in space but in this small space there are about 400 billion stars.

The neighboring galaxy Andromeda is about two million light years away. Galaxy is seen as a whole, as what it was millions of years ago...
