Why do we see questions that nobody has asked?

There's more than meets the eye here.

Explanation:

All the questions that you are seeing on the site were asked by students at some point or another, the only difference between them being where they were asked.

A lot of questions are being asked on the site by students who create accounts -- these are the questions that appear as having been "asked by somebody".

On the other hand, a lot of questions are being asked on the app by students from all over the world who do not have accounts on Socratic -- these are the questions that you're referring to.

The team is constantly collecting questions that are coming in from the app and releasing them on the site for contributors to answer.

This is just another way of integrating the site and the app into this one big Socratic platform and making sure that the questions that are coming in from students are not being lost.

In a nutshell, all the questions that "nobody has asked" were actually asked by students on the app in the past #18# months to #2# years.

  • questions that are posted by students with accounts #-># asked on the site
  • questions that are posted by students without accounts #-># asked on the app
