# Why is 0/0 undefined?

Jun 11, 2015

Because you cannot say what the (unique) result is!

#### Explanation:

Try to think at a possible solution of $\frac{0}{0}$:
Could we choose $3$?
Yes because:
$\frac{0}{0} = 3$
So rearranging: 0=0×3=0 it works!
But....also $4$ works...also$123235467$ works....ANY NUMBER works!
So if I ask you for the result of $\frac{0}{0}$ you'll answer: "all numbers"!!!
Hope it helps!
