Let us take an example.If we go to mars it will take at least 6 to 9 months to reach there.Human beings need Oxygen, food, water in very large quantities to sustain life for long periods...We also needs fuel for the return journey and for breaking to enter mars..There will be harmful radiation on the way from Space..Crafts which can undertake such long missions ffor human beings does not exists today..So we have to first design, built and prepare for such a long j
journey.
