Plants are able to reproduce by different modes of asexual mode reproduction.
Explanation:
- Majority of plants reproduce by asexual modes. Different parts of
plants such as stem, leaves, branches etc., adopt to
reproduce. - Polyploidy helps the vigorous growth of plants. New
species are also formed by polyploidy. - Even in absence of normal meiosis and gamete formation some polyploid plants survive by vegetative mode of reproduction. We can cite the example of seedless triploid banana. Banana reproduce by vegetaive mode from corm.
