The epidermis is the outside layer of the body that works to protect the body from absorbing dangerous substances.
Explanation:
The epidermis is a thin layer which makes it dependent on the dermis to provide nutrients and dispose of waste.
The dermis contains blood vessels, secrete oil, sweat glands, hair follicles and nerve endings. It also cushions the body from impact.
