There are 3 ways of recognizing if two triangles are similar. One of them is:
- If corresponding angles of two triangles are equal, then the
triangles are similar. (aaa) - If the ratios of corresponding sides of two triangles are equal, then the triangles are similar. (sss)
- If the ratios of 2 corresponding sides are equal and the angles
between the sides are equal, then the triangles are similar.(sas)
In equilateral triangles all angles are equal, so the condition of similarity stated above in point 1 (aaa) is met.
