I would say anabolic...

Explanation:

Anabolism refers to the process in cells where large macromolecules are built up from smaller ones. In this case here, protein synthesis uses other proteins and amino acids (proteins' monomers) to make more proteins, and so that is the buildup of a large molecule, and therefore considered anabolism.

Catabolism is the opposite of anabolism. An example would be the digestion of proteins in food to amino acids for absorption. In this case, a large molecule (a protein) is broken down into smaller soluble molecules (amino acids).
