Given : Restaurant Bill = $78.0

Tip on the bill is $9.20

We will calculate what percentage of the bill is the tip,

Tip amount x 100 / Bill amount

( 9.20 x 100 / 78.0) = 920 /78 = 11.8 % or 12%
so, the tip they paid is 12% of the bill.

if the restaurant bill is 21.50 use, then the amount of the tip will be 12 % of it.

Tip amount is 12% of 21.50 which is;

(21.50 x 12 ) / 100 or $2.58

so the net amount they have to pay is 21.50 + 2.58 = 24.08.
