How do you simplify sqrt(50)-sqrt(2)?

First simplify sqrt(50).

sqrt(50) = sqrt(2 · 25) = sqrt(2) sqrt(25) = 5 sqrt(2)

The simplified expression is 5 sqrt(2) - sqrt(2).

Lets further simplify this sqrt(2)(5 - 1)

This can be further simplified 4sqrt(2)
