A iinear function has the form `y=f(x)=mx+b`. For every real number, subsituting for `x` yields a single real value for `y`. The domain is all real numbers.

The range is the set os `y` values we can get. For any `y` value, using `x=(y-b)/m` will result in `f` giving an output of `y`. The range is all real numbers.
