  • Ability to graph multiple equations
  • Ability to do solid and dotted lines
  • Ability to plot points or show zeros on that graph

  • When asking a question from the home screen, require user to choose a subject. Don't just default to Chemistry.
  • At some point, display the topic that the question is being auto categorized into. This way, the poster can verify that the topic category is correct.

My problem is not knowing what is available.
I only very recently discovered "cancel", and "color" and how to set up a matrix.

I'd like tabs and tables (I currently use matrices for this) to clarify presentation (but maybe they are already there; I just don't know).

I think there should be a

  • math symbol keyboard
  • a mini calculator

The ability to graph functions that are defined piecewise.
for example:
#f(x) = { (-1, ", if", x < 3), ( 1, ", if", x > 3") :}#

Ability to restrict the domain of a function when graphing it.
I have (finally) a work-around, but it's clunky:

y=3x(sqrt(1-(x-1)^2))/(sqrt(1-(x-1)^2)) will graoh as #y=3x# restricted to the interval #[0,1]# (the domain of #y=sqrt(1-(x-1)^2)#

graph{y=3x(sqrt(1-(x-1)^2))/(sqrt(1-(x-1)^2)) [-13.57, 22.48, -4.85, 13.17]}

I suggest adding more symbols and mathematical notations to the already excellent page *Writing Math * for it to become an almost complete reference document.
For instance, symbols like the combinatorics notation #( (n), (k) )# are missing from the help page and, for the time being, are scattered over scratchpads written by several users.
