A regular polygon with 6 sides can be thought of as 6 congruent equilateral triangles joined at a central point.

The side of each triangle (and thus of the polygon is the same as the radius (in this case 15 in.)

The answer is: 15 inches.

If you consider an exagon inscribed in a circle and you draw the six radii that join the center of the circle and the six vertex of the exagon, you can see six identical triangle that have the angle to the vertex of #(360°)/6=60°#. So they are not only isosceles but also equilater.
