`8x+cancelcolor(red)(3y)=-8`

`16x=8`
`color(red)(x)=8/16 = color(red)(1/2`

Finding `y` from equation `(2)`

`3y = - 8 - 8x`
`3y = - 8 - 8 . color(red)((1/2))`
`3y = - 8 - 4`
`3y = -12 , color(red)(y=-4`
