The Discriminant is given by:
#Delta=b^2-4*a*c#
# = (4)^2-(4*2*2)#
# = 16 - 16=0#
As #Delta=0# then there is only one solution.

The solution is found using the formula
#x=(-b+-sqrtDelta)/(2*a)#

As #Delta = 0#, #x = ((-4)+-sqrt(0))/(2*2) = -4/4 = -1#
So , #x = -1#
